As a growing Seventh-Day Adventist and follower of Jesus, I thought I’d share 11 bible verses that have to deal with business, work, money, entrepreneurship and employment. A sequel may come to this soon. Other than that, enjoy:
But divide your investments among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall diminish; but he that gathers by labor shall increase.
One who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and one who gives gifts to the rich—both come to poverty.
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.
No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct all thy paths.
