“Are you still making new music?” “Where have you been?” “What are you working on this summer?”
These are some of the questions I have been asked within the past few weeks and seeing that I haven’t posted a blog in a while, I’m just going to give you a quick update on what to expect from me this summer. (I will not disclose some info.)
To start, I am currently working with a few music artists and I have already sent them instrumentals to the tracks they will be working on. Once they are done, they will inform me, then I will inform you. I would say more on this subject, but a wise one taught me: “don’t count your chickens before they’re hatched.”
Next, I have recently sparked an interest in Sound Design, therefore I am trying to develop new sounds to share with you guys. I am starting off with drum kits and sample packs and I hope to advance to presets as well. You will hear more about this soon, but just know that this project is being worked on as you’re reading this.
Furthermore, I have had “beat block” recently. The problem is, I’m trying to go for a more original sound, but I am sadly facing the fact that no chord or melody is truly original. (Even the bible confirms it in Ecclesiastes 1:9.) I’m just trying to find ways to make very inventive music that sounds sensational at the same time. This task is not an easy one, but I’m hoping that this feat will eventually be conquered. (To make my own original sound is one of my biggest goals.) I would also like to add that I am trying to diversify my sound and create instrumentals that are suitable for films and games, since I have always had interest in those industries.
Finally, I just updated my DAW to Logic Pro X and I’ve invested in new sounds. Did you notice my completely redesigned website also? I’m trying to find new ways to make my services (Music Production, Sound Design & Marketing) benefit you, so if you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know in the comments below or contact me directly at email@example.com.
Oh yeah… I may start a cypher. Stay tuned and…
Keep it 100.
